Sorry - I don’t mean to be doom and gloom. But I’ve seen how the sausage is made so to speak, and once you see it you can’t un-see it. The tarf/tarpmumbojumbo nonsense was just a sleight of hand to confuse the public of what was truly being done. And that is how my foundation of becoming a bitcoiner was laid.

Having been a trader on the FX desk at BofA during the financial crisis I had a front row seat for the meltdown - I’m of the opinion that a cleansing fire in 2008 was exactly the medicine that was needed.
Because bailouts were given, the market was no longer able to function as a true market - punishing bad behavior. Which is what has gotten us into the mess we are currently in. I think the government is a bloated sweaty mess that should be shrunken to its barest bones. And the tax bill levied on citizens should reflect that.

LOL we actually did the same thing, just bought a really nice Chemex for pour overs, milk frother etc… and I love coffee. But to be honest it was killing my stomach. I think it’s just too acidic for me overall. I was a straight up coffee addict for 20yrs so it’s tough to give up. A few years back we bought an nespresso machine and I lost all moderation with coffee. I would have 5-6 espressos before work. It was bad.

I have been drinking mostly matcha, but have been adding a little bit of black tea here and there. Something about the caffeine in tea vs coffee that seems to be better for me. I used to have 5-7 cups of coffee a day. Now I’m at 1-2 cups of tea. So a big change. And a positive one.

I don’t have a great answer personally. I think having a passport that is widely accepted is the strategy. Like Italian or German. But the US is the best option for now. If that starts to change it would require more serious due diligence.

So one thing I will say is if you are in between sizes, get the larger one. I got the mid sized grill and I always wish I had more grill space. But I can’t say enough good things about smoker pellet grills and my traeger in particular.

I was so resistant to try dropping coffee. My wife has bugged me about it for a few years. The switch to matcha has been really good. For some reason the caffeine in matcha doesn’t effect me the way it did in coffee. I still love coffee but it doesn’t love me.
