At the risk of making obvious where we, all of us #LGBTQ+ allies, might disagree (and it's okay that we do): I do agree that some people hate. Intentionally. Maybe even that they don't deserve our help.
I'm saying that, despite all this, I would like to try to convince trans-haters to change their minds.
I agree that you don't have to. It's not an easy task.
But I think it's worth trying. If it works for one, the world will be a better place.

I want to make sure you don't think that the reason I think we should try to understand transphobes is because I erroneously think #transphobia is a phobia in the sense of, say, claustrophobia.
To clarify things, for now I'll say trans-haters, homo-haters, etc.
I think there is a reason people become trans-haters, and it is possible (though not easy) to do something about this.
You don't have to join me. But I'm not giving up on them yet.

I wasn't going to say anything, but your post has prompted me...
I personally hope to do the opposite. I hope to show transphobes why they are wrong. I believe there is a reason why they are #transphobic, and that someone should deal with that reason.
It's going to take a lot of hard work and patience. But #transphobes are fellow humans, too. Something has led to that #transphobia. Wouldn't it be nice if they understood and overcame their phobia? To have a friend?
