My phone woke me up at 1.30am because there was an aurora alert. I knew it would be too cloudy to see anything but didn't think I would be able to go back to sleep again so headed out anyway. A walk in the moonlight on Glastonbury Tor.

The weather is so dreary at the moment so no good sunrise shots. I am spending 10 minutes each morning after my walk going back over previous shots that didn't make it to exporting and posting on social media. This was a day in December 23 when the sky turned red.

An unexpected sunrise today on Glastonbury Tor. It was very grey and very dark so I really didn't expect the sun to break through. Quick change of settings but not quick enough as a bit too much lens flare. 😂

It is a special thing to climb up Glastonbury Tor in the dense fog and as you get to the top it clears so that you can see for miles around. Trees peeping through the mist as you listen to the birdsong. This is the view from the top looking down towards the Somerset levels.
