Its not a fiat metric but basic idea that a medium of exchange appreciates in value, be it fiat, basket if groceries or an ounce of gold.
Bitcoin's primarily goal is to detach the state from the money issuance – as evidenced by the inscription in the genesis block. Privacy, while a very important aspect of it, was never the only thing that mattered.
Monero folks always leave this side of the coin unmentioned while eagerly accenting how bitcoin is shit and monero where it's at because it's more privacy focused.

The #nostr relay thing is quite tricky if you move between clients and versions. They don't seem to persist at account level but rather each client has its own relay setup and the relay configuration of the account in prior client is neglected.
Different clients solely adding their own relay to the existing relay set is surely a UX inprovement.

I use them with GPG keys, master is always offline, and in offline and secured environment you can create signkng keys that are linked the yubikey.
This approach, if implemented with bitcoin back up and signkng process, could be quite popular and imo not less secure than currwnt signing devices.
Maybe there's an imminent failure factor that I'm not aware of and the #techsavvy may shed some light on these limitations.

Similar long-run logic was used by Keynes to justify inflation back in the days “in the long run we are all dead.., controlled inflation is good for the economy/jobs etc”. We are doing what we can here and now and bitcoin is the best chance we have against the current world economic system that incentivizes the rich and punishes the poor. I use XMR and bitcoin for transacting but I would never keep a hefty amount of value on XMR, though I do appreciate it for what it is.

I'm using robosats and have encountered no issues in terms of user experience. Tor makes things a but slower but it adds best privacy. Ditching TOR is not a good option, they CSB however provide an alternative for those who wish to use NWS.

In dummsty, every point made falls back to the usual volatility tricks (liquidity and volatility are inverse in relationship).
Regarding the second assertion made regarding the analogy to gold and the distortions created by "fake derivative market", a refutation to this easily be demonstrated in the block chain. If you don't settle on-chain, you don't own the bitcoin. All the ETFs are supposed to be backed 100% by on-chain bitcoins.
The more liquidity enters into bitcoin, the more resilient it will become to the only slippery slope it has: volatility.
As they say, volatility is the price we pay.

I had the same thing with Revolut. A scammer called the bank and asked to reverse the translation where he paid me for Bitcoin sold through p2p exchange. He accused them of facilitating illicit activities (accusing me of something illicit). The bank reversed his payment without lettinge me know and later sent me an email saying they are terminating the ralationship with me without any further details.

We assume that the price volatility of goods against Bitcoin is significant enough to create a certain demand in hedging this volatility risk. Suppose there is a requirement to provide a certain amount of funds for the purchase of an asset, and we only have funds in the form of bitcoins, and the recipient wants a certain amount in local currency. Furthermore, the transaction has an escrow account mechanism with a settlement period of 10 days against the executed ownership title.
We can easily set up an escrow account in a bitcoin transaction, but the problem is that the seller will price himself in local currency because he is required to do so by law in the jurisdiction where he resides. The current solution to this is to use stablecoins, which means going through an exchange process and adding additional layers of trust.
With new native bitcoin proposals that offer similar properties to stablecoins, it becomes increasingly important to build something that does not require trust in centralized mints.
