I'd be interested to know if there are many #EDM / #Techno #music producers or #DJs out there on fosstodon.org or in the wider Mastodon community. User or instance recommendations would be much appreciated. I recently started making my own music so I'm looking to network with others in the production / mixing / mastering world.

TL;DR: #Apple don't care that much about your privacy (*gasp*); and if you don't want your router or access point's BSSID to be passively scanned by hundreds of nearby devices and sent to Apple (and #Google), append "_nomap" to its SSID.

I keep going to use xclip for quick CLI copying and pasting in KDE, forgetting of course that I'm now using Wayland by default. Are there some sort of Wayland equivalents to commands like `xclip file`, `xclip -sel -clip file` and `cat file | xclip`?

We're in the final stages of the Online Safety Bill and, honestly, I'm not optimistic. This is just the next attempt, and probably the successful one, at breaking end-to-end #encryption in the #UK. I admire the stances of @npub1qml…mdus and the like, but the ones who are going to be most negatively affected by this are those who aren't as technically proficient. And that's the problem. Truly #privacy-preserving technologies should be accessible to everyone.
