Where to start if I'm interested in helping the Bitcoin ecosystem? I come from a background of ETL, SQL, Shell, on-prem system engineering, and analytics.
I got into the space in 2017 mining ETH in my basement with lots of frankstein computers and GPUs. In 2020 I got conviction with Bitcoin as the chosen one. Other coins are solutions looking for a non existent problem or memes.
It pulls at me from a professional standpoint, where golden handcuffs have kept me away while stacking sats. Have two children as well so the days are long but the years are fast. Currently run a full node and a nerd miner as a hobby and to get a vote as a bitcoiner.
I love seeing activity from some of my idols on #nostr who have taught me a lot through media and books. Thanks to all!

Hello world, Bitcoin has made me rethink every point of sale. Every time I weigh whether I would rather have the item, or that value converted to Bitcoin for savings. Bitcoin has made saving money cool again.

I started my blockchain journey in 2017 and like many others it was for the wrong reason initially. I was mining ethereum on multiple rigs in my basement and dabbling in all kinds of shitcoins looking for the next bitcoin. I finally had the epiphany in 2020 that Bitcoin is the next Bitcoin and it got right so many things; from costly generation of new coins, to difficulty adjustment, to a segregation of duties, to a store of value, no 3rd party intermediaries, resolved double spend, and pretty limitless multi-layer functionality which we are only beginning to think up. I have to say, Nostr and a crowd funded merit based social network goes under the radar as a use case. Happy to be here, and I see many familiar names that I think highly of and have authored literature that's helped me get where I am today. Cheers!
