Yeah, @npub1vwl…xwcn and I were just discussing that. It seems the feds are turning a blind eye to other privatization practises like private surgical clinics in Ontario who are double dipping and private medical clinics so I don't have much hope anymore.

Yes, once Trump is gone that won't solve the problem but maybe the best course of action is to make sure Biden wins the election. Biden isn't stupid and has intelligent people advising him and the vice president.
There is a rise in authoritarianism around the world not only in the US. Times are frightening. I am hoping that if we work together we will defeat those who want to impose their views upon us.

What I find very worrying it that it promotes extreme far right propaganda like Fox News under the banner of news. The executive of Fox News admitted in court they are not a legitimate news outlet. This is undermining democracy in the US, Canada and elsewhere. While I understand the concerns of censorship there should also be a standard applied as to labelling factual news vs entertainment/propaganda.

After reading a thread where an account attacked someone posting a news story (with no opinion added) I want to say this:
Due to world politics, emotions are running high.
People are angry and scared and have every right to feel feel that way however attacking each other is counter productive and only erodes any attempt to preserving democracy.
The old saying "untied we stand and divided we fall" rings true.
Thoughtful discussion is needed not angry accusations based entirely on assumptions.

Drinking water really helps reduce glucose levels fast. In the ER if your glucose is dangerously high they use two bags of saline solution via IV to flush it from your bloodstream. Drinking it is slower but it works.
(though I often wonder if it's because you then burn it off running back and forth to the bathroom afterwards 🤣 )

If you want to feel better fast drink lots of water and exercise-walk, run, do jumping jacks, anything.
(I am diabetic so though I never touch sugar anymore I know the tricks to reduce glucose quickly)
It's crazy that the sugary /fatty/salty over processed junk is cheaper. All the steps taken to process it should make it more expensive IMO.

Not voting because you don't like the candidates is allowing a dictator to win and then there will never be another chance to make changes for the better within the voting system. I hate our voting system in North America because I would prefer proportional representation however I also understand the consequences of a dictatorship so when it comes my turn I will vote for the best chance of future change.
