@npub1dm5…5sqe strength and endurance will definitely come. Also note that many people think that you should be pushing the pedals fairly slowly and hard. (<60bpm) where cyclists typically will pedal 80bpm while cruising and you can shift into an appropriate gear to do so (and if you’ve got the gears. Even on a three speed though, you don’t want to be crawling around in the hardest gears.)

@npub1dm5…5sqe for your location, getting over to the park with the Oak Leaf Trail in it is a good way to see a bit more trees, the river, and generally something different. All up to you, though.

Multi-material printing on the Bambu is incredibly wasteful, it turns out. Using a cheaper plain PLA as supports for PLA-CF. I didn’t think about how it needs to change filament every layer and how that’d mean another little bit of each filament in the “waste bucket” and another layer on the “waste tower.”
I’ll measure after but I think I’ll have used just as much waste filament as the mass of the print and the supports. #3dprinting

@npub1dm5…5sqe I’m thinking about using the steppers out of my old Monoprice printer for something like a small CNC mill for soft stuff. But that’s quite a big project to start and still looking for a good OSS hardware project to use.

@npub1dm5…5sqe Kubernetes is probably out of the question then too, or a LXC? (Linux container.) you’d have to be careful not to run this on a server with no persistent file system (Heroku’s is *not* persistent) because it uses SQLite instead of a separate DB server.

@npub1dm5…5sqe yep. It’s just a node app using a SQLite database. Should run anywhere that you have a modern nodejs and write access to the filesystem.
