100% on one of your use cases.
I find GenAI to be absolutely fantastic at getting me past executive dysfunction. Otherwise? I can't justify the impact (cost) for marginal benefit. Capitalism doesn't need my "problems" fixed that badly.
Ouch. Just stumbled into making another point that I hadn't intended on an adjacent topic.
Something I've seen mentioned on the tiktoks is that ADHD meds aren't really for the patient, except insofar as they help alleviate our struggles. The meds are to help us be "good Capitalists" and maintain high efficiency, be good workers.
The system needs GenAI if it's going to round up all the neurodivergents. And GenAI WILL ruin the planet for our habitation. The earth itself will survive just fine, we just won't be able to live on it.

I just recently did this for an old v1 switch I had kicking around. I'm not going to hardware mod my OLED for the fun of it, but the software modding of v1 switch is INCREDIBLE. so easy.
I don't think I've seen a root/jailbreak this easy since the G1.

It's all about the merch! Which makes me feel slightly ill, as an avid concert goer. But I guess that does have some similarities.
Interesting thought here, a la @nprofile…5mw3 from long ago about monetization of art. One of the tangential effects of the commodification of art as a means of existing. (Living under capitalism) Bad actors can game the system as "artists" of misinformation that sell merch.
It's a natural outcome of the discussions we were having back then, if musicians couldn't sell their art? The intrinsic cost of digital music approaching zero. Not zero value, but zero marginal cost. Musicians especially were challenged to find ways to continue making money. They sell the experience. The live events. The merch. (Which I love)
Now that it's normal to think that of course artists have to sell something to stay alive! Who doesn't? No one lives for free! (Not in America)
It is deeply weird to be raising children right now. These are not conversations I thought I'd be having, at least not the way I'm having them.
It is possible to have a society where no one struggles just to live. Just to have basic dignity. To get whatever health care they need or want.
