I remember when I joined the Fediverse via Mastodon (mas.to) during November 2022's exodus from Twitter, I saw a lot of kind encouragement and links to some helpful guides about what Mastodon and the Fediverse is and how it all works.

I remember back in June last year that Meta would call their then "Project92" software "Threads", so I did some searching of domains like threads.com, threads.org, until I eventually came across threads.net that referenced Meta all over the page's source code.
I was able to get all of Meta's IP addresses a few weeks before Threads even went live, and posted about it in this thread and instructions to defederate from them back then:

@npub1mhp…6t73 On a related note, although pi is about 3.1415 etc., the study of big numbers (googology) tends to stretch into unimaginably giant numbers that make our universe appear tiny by comparison and probably contain subsets of the information pi has.

If one goes far enough, one can find everyone's birthday, everyone's credit card number, the complete works of every author encoded into decimal numbers, every Google Search (as you've mentioned), and even the observable universe if every Planck volume in said universe is assigned a number between 1 and approximately 4.65 x 10¹⁸⁵.

It’s often a challenge to see how much digits of #pi one can recite on #PiDay, so I visited https://www.sporcle.com/games/g/pi and correctly recited 130 digits.
This was the quiz I did years ago help me remember the digits of pi, and I find it really helps me if I break it down into sets of numbers and memorise each set instead of digits. For example I started with 3.1415, then 9265, then 3589, 793, 2384626, 43383 etc.

I've always thought the lines in the #Fediverse rainbow pentagon symbol should be gradients of the two dot colours they each connect to, so I made this!

Over time I made some slight changes to the CSS and English language locale of my self-hosted Mastodon instance to make it truly my own - I'm liking it so far! Huge thank you to @npub1cmg…rzd2 for making the #MastodonBirdUI too!

Working on my 100th music release for the end of the year, planned to be a mix of all of my releases from 2020-2023. :MOULE_Happy:
42 of my tracks have been mixed so far (some have new melodies and time signatures!), it's already almost 9 minutes long, there's over a hundred different instruments and it's my toughest and most daunting track I've ever worked on, but for my 100th release, I think it's gotta be a special one.

As a recovering #Twitter addict, I've gone 3+ weeks without posting there since it became "X".
Had a peek at it again – I feel disgusted even when I begin to type "twitter.com" and see that darn #X pop up.
Lots of ads, spam, ridiculous "engagement" posts (eg. "if this gets 100 likes I'll do this") and just generally noise when compared to the Fediverse.
Why people, especially artists, are still posting on there other than to communicate with friends, I have no idea.

Today I'm starting a new chapter online: I've stopped using :X_: #X and will only post from my :Mastodon: #Mastodon :FediStar: #Fediverse server from now on! 👍
I joined :Twitter: #Twitter in 2020 and found some amazing artists there, but hated its algorithm. Then :Musk: #ElonMusk took over and made it worse!
I've deleted my lists, drafts, half my tweets, and told everyone I'll post here instead. I'll keep it open as an archive. But I've deleted "X" from my devices and it feels so liberating! 🙌

The Fediverse might be a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's a wholesome place full of really cool people! It's a breath of fresh air compared to highly centralised, corporate sites.
