Is there a way for me to use my current key pair as a parent to generate additional child key pairs that I could use around the internet?
For example, I may want to use a service that allows me to pay sats via LN on-demand to generate an image, or privately download and summarize a YouTube video, and I may not want it tied to my sethforbtc npub. I may want to generate new keys every time I transact or use a new service, but who wants to keep track of hundreds of key pairs? I want them all to roll up to my main key, but maintain my privacy.

Here’s how I understand the current limitations/recommendations related to using Nostr:
1. Don’t trust a client with your nsec.
2. Instead, use a tool that keeps your keys safe but allows you to authorize clients to sign transactions on your behalf.
Examples: Alby or nsec bunker.
3. There are no tools for mobile devices to manage #2. So you either go with an insecure method of using Nostr, or limit yourself to a desktop client. (What percentage of social media use is on mobile today, 90% +?)
Do I have this right? Are there any mobile options coming that don’t sacrifice security?

Are there ways to reduce the threat surface? Host lots of nodes with medium levels of liquidity rather than a huge one with tons of BTC locked in a channel. Keep node management decentralized…

Update on my efforts to get a static, multi-use QR code for Lightning payments, so my kids can receive payment for scooping doggy doo:
@npub1ye5…knpr helped me find my @npub1get…0nfm raw text LNURL and directed me to a Google tool that generated a QR code for it. It worked like a charm, BUT....not every wallet could handle it:
@npub1hcw…h9rq: smooth as butter—instant sats
Phoenix: Also smooth—instant sats
Muun: Choked on the LNURL, thought it was a pull request rather than push
Breez: if you select the right option first, it worked, but it was very slow
Strike: Choked on the LNURL. Dang it!!! (This was the one I needed most to work) @npub1ex7…vyt9 @npub1cn4…3vle
CashApp: Choked on LNURL but seemed to be ok with a generated invoice with a configured amount of sats. I gritted my teech, jumped through their stupid KYC hoops, and then discovered that I have to formally purchase BTC in order to process a LN invoice. I can't start with fiat and send it via LN (like Strike brilliantly supports).
So I'm partially there. Strike support for LNURL's would provide the lowest barrier of entry to plebs. Sigh....
One day--ONE DAY!--everything will revolve around freedom money. The future is here; it's just not evenly distributed. #note1wta…flr8

Is there a way for me to generate an LNURL QR code that is reusable?
Use case: My kids are starting a Dog Poop Scooping business in our neighborhood, and I’d like to have a QR code that any of their customers can scan with Strike and send payment—without requiring me to generate a custom invoice every time.
I’ve been told this is possible with Alby but I can’t figure it out. Thanks!

That is the the command I ran earlier, only I had all the input files listed together. Doing it your way, I successfully converted all of the manually to HTML, although two generated errors:
E[line ###] section out of sequence: expected level 3, got level 4
I don’t understand what the issue was, but the HTML generated anyway, so I moved on.
After successfully merging everything to a single HTML file, I dropped it into Calibre and converted to ePub—it appears to have worked!
If anyone wants the file rather than recreate my path, send me a DM.

This is getting ridiculous.
I got Pandoc so that I could compile the github files into an ePub. But the source files were in asciidoc format, so I went to install AsciiDoctor. That required Ruby, which I installed.
(I also took a side trail and looked into using the AsciiDoctor extension with Visual Studio. In the desktop version, the extension search wouldn't find AsciiDoctor, so I switched to the browser-based version, then discovered the browser-based version of AsciiDoctor doesn't support exporting files to PDF or HTML. I switched back to desktop, somehow was able to find and install the extension, but then couldn't find the menu options to export any files.)
I finally got Pandoc and AsciiDoctor working in the command line, but when I tried to merge all the asciidoc files together, I got a variety of errors. First I moved some config files around so my command could find them, but the other issues involve hierarchal structure problems in the source files. Wut?
When I was searching for a free version of this book and saw the GitHub repository, I thought "Yes! I should be able to get this into an ePub in a couple of clicks." But no. It's been way more complicated than that, and I still haven't succeeded.
I don't have time to work through this anymore. Why is this so difficult?!?! Should I just bail?

Yep. ChatGPT had directed me to Pandoc, but it couldn’t handle the asciidoc source files. So that took me to Asciidoctor, which required me to get RubyInstaller. So that’s what I’m waiting on currently.

I take your point, but I think you’re too simplistic.
I truly believe Bitcoin has the potential to cleanse the economy—and much of culture along with it. Yes, I was to personally benefit economically from it, but that’s not the primary reason I support it.
If I had a button that would guarantee the success of Bitcoin, but at the cost of me receiving any direct economic benefit, I would push it—no hesitation.
