Okay, let's see if this alt text thing really works! In case it doesn't, what I'm uploading is a Hanon piano finger exercise, number one, played across the keyboard, but with the patch set to a GM drum kit, so instead of piano, you hear all sorts of drums. Not only that, but once it's done, it goes again, but at twice the speed. Then it just keeps getting faster and faster.

So I just discovered something cool for 80's retro tech nerds like myself. Are you familiar with Basica or GWBasic, IBM's and Microsoft's BASIC programming environments for DOS before QBasic came along? Do you have a pile of .bas files you haven't been able to run for decades? Now you can! With PCBasic, a Python package that acts like GWBasic. On Python3, just go pip install pcbasic and away you go. I tried this a few years ago and found it to be inaccessible, but what I didn't know is that there's a command line switch. If you go pcbasic --interface=text you get a nice text interface from which you can issue BASIC commands and see responses, run programs, etc. Very nifty!

Okay. I cannot be the only one who thinks some type of easy text-based language like Markdown, but for creating web forms, would be a cool idea. Yet I've never seen anything like this.

A man has a funeral. A few days later, he dies. A bit later, he is rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries. Shortly thereafter, he is involved in an auto accident. Then we never hear of him again, until many years later, a baby is born.

Does anyone here know if anyone makes/sells a 220-240 volt US smart plug that will work with Alexa? Dad has an air conditioner that runs on 220-240 volts, and he'd love to put it on a smart plug so he can control it with Alexa.

Okay, so I just got the Discord username change to pop up on Windows 10. If you get this, you'll get the inaccessible CAPTCHA. Hit the menu button for more information, and one of the options is text challenge. It then makes you check the box again to say you're a human/not a robot/whatever, then it asks you a yes/no question and gives an edit box for the answer. As far as I can tell, your answers should be in lower case, not capitalized. After answering each question, hit Next, and after the third one, hit Verify Answers. If it likes you, it'll say you're all set. This happened after three attempts for me. It said I was all set…then the CAPTCHA dialog popped up again even though it wasn't needed any more! Anyway my Discord username is now jaybird110127 so all's well that ends well.

Please boost for reach. As blind diabetics, my dad and I have been using the Freestyle Libre continuous blood glucose monitoring system for a few years with our iPhones. Have any blind people had any experience with the Freestyle Libre 3, which is smaller and doesn't require scanning, used with an iPhone? Is the app still VoiceOver friendly?
