@npub19lh…3d6f I very strongly suspect that the people who bail right at the beginning are ones who somehow end up at the article from a social media link or a web search, and immediately realize that "this isn't what I'm looking for" or "I'm not at all interested in this".
Once you get past that point, does sunk cost apply? 🙂

@npub1ecd…nqgf Indeed. And in doing so it's also imposing *their* view of whether *they* have something to hide on everyone else.
Having something to hide doesn't (or shouldn't) mean that you're doing anything illicit.
Considering that even experts agree that it won't achieve its stated purpose and that it will steamroll human rights, Chat Control 2 is a fundamentally flawed idea which should have been shredded, burned and tossed to the four winds long, long ago.

@npub1a88…gprs Unfortunately a huge number of people probably would agree to that, because they "have nothing to hide" and "of course I'd want there to be video evidence if someone were to assault me in my home" and "video surveillance reduces crime".
To say nothing of how ChatControl 2 proponents try to argue that "it's not surveillance because no human looks at any material that isn't flagged".
To which I can only say: Sorry, but that's not the definition of surveillance.
