Timers all set , I don't have to think.
Switching to Agile means juggling cars, house #batteries, timers etc for and hour then juggling them all back again with only 18hour's notice, and being around to do it.
What we need is a #grid signal (price?) of when to charge or use #electricity with batteries-inverters that can interpret that signal combine with weather report and remind the humans to plug in \ switch on to take advantage.

If many #nodes are #Raspberry Pi4, then the #Bitcoin network could be in a really poor state if health.
No one can sync and therefore can't
- verify latest blocks.
- perform transactions on their own node
- privacy is therefore comprised because you got to use someone else's node
The nodes can't node.

Hi, I eventually managed to up the swap thing, but no joy. It either fails to start or never catches up with the current block.
I'm starting to think #Mynode will not ever run on a #Raspberry #Pi4 ever again ? If I need to get a Pi5 I'll do it.

I did try accessing terminal from within #Mynode but just got a square cursor in the corner with no abbilty to type. Would I have to shut down Mynode to do this?
I have updated to a newer Mynode version that is starting to make some head way on the last remaining 300 blocks , but this is probably due to a lull in the #spam.

When you start #graphene for the first time you get a very monochrome uninteresting looking screen with about 5 basic apps. It feels like going back to a Nokia 3110 (1990s brick), but the colour & functionality slowly return as you add apps from #google play & #fdroid
Top tips
1 use graphene insaller/website on google chrome for install (otherwise some buttons don't work.
2 VPN
3 Export contacts from icloud desk top to hard drive then - hard drive to #Pixel (unlock the developer mode , enable USB. helpful vids on YouTube) . Great time to save stuff to hard drive, because no more icloud backup.
4 Good time to get a new #degoogled email eg #Proton
5 Swap the sim only when you feel ready
6 Most importantly Definitely change the black background and ring tone to something more funky.

Mostly yes except last bit.
There is no possible way for Ledger/ government to edit the firmware of the Ledger hardware device to make it export your Private Keys (assuming it can’t do that already, we don’t know because not FOSS)
It could be a genius move on behalf of Ledger cos people don’t trust them selves with private keys or the creation of a huge point of centralised failure. I believe the latter b/c if it can be fucked with it will be fucked with by bad actors/ gov.
Bottom line.
Sparrow & Cold card good b/c both are FOSS

Sparrow -on its own- used as a hot wallet is no safer than any other hot wallet because the Private Keys are stored on a computer connected to the internet.
Hardware wallets are considered safe(er) .The keys are on the hardware wallet cannot leave the device. Or that’s what we thought. Ledger announced it would be offering 3rd party key storage as a service. After previously denying it was even possible to export them.
Ledger live “could” be exporting the keys, or “could” force a firmware up grade that could export the PKs, but as it’s not Fully Open Source nobody can verify this. Unlike Cold card.
What if the government walked into Ledger head office and mandated exposing all Private Keys ?
Well now we don’t have to use Ledger Live - Sparrow (& others) can interact with Ledger hardware wallet without a forcing firmware upgrade.

I used the Sparrow / #Ledger combo last night, I think now I’m more used to it, it’s as easy as #LedgerLive / Ledger combo.
Not reusing addresses is always good practice. For example if you combine #KYC and No KYC coins you just KYC your No KYC stash.
I think the good thing about #Sparrow is you can use it for different hardware wallets, so you only need to learn a different interface every time.
I’m at the limits of my knowledge hear, so when I need tutorials I generally brush up by watching @npub1rxy…hnp8 tutorial vids.

Basically Ledger have lost a lot of trust because -
They’re are not Fully Open Source
There is a possibility they export your private keys🚩🚩🚩🚩 (as not Open Source we really don’t know)
They sometimes force you to upgrade the firmware when using Ledger Live.
They shitcoin big time.
Possibility of regulatory capture
No coin/utxo control (that I’ve seen)

Clearing / burning for livestock is the first carbon release. The second release is ruminating livestock that burp methane. Methane is 86x more potent greenhouse gas. Yes there used to be Bison but there’s 5 x as many cows in the US (that produce slightly more methane) as the original Bison herds.

1 “lifestyle” & “opinion” are not scientific terms. You are not green simply because you live in the country.
2 CO2 - Carbon + Oxygen + Oxygen is roughly 3 times heavier than just Carbon. Basic physics.
3 Hydrogen 🥴 Horribly inefficient. This is just the oil industry trying to stay relevant. Hydrogen derived from Methane (steam reformation) is more fossil fuel with even more inefficiency. The waste CO2 with be pumped into old oil wells to access more oil, and will then probably just leak out again because let’s face the oil industry has a terrible record of plugging methane leaking from wells.
Mining for #eletricvehicles has much less environmental destruction than oil and you only gotta mine it once.
The old cowboys managed with no vehicle, I’m sure they’d be overjoyed with an #F150Lightning. Range 255 - 320 miles , will tow anything and you can run your house off of it.
