Jay, my man, at the moment, I'm many thousands of miles/kms away from my nodes at my home. I, like rand0, is currently on the road on vacay, trying to live life like we do best.
I do have a Wallet of Satoshi and alby as a temp custodial wallet, and I do have my own self-hosted BTC payserver. BUT I'll be looking into other self-custody solutions for nostr as a man of science that's all about experimenting. Especially on the start9 ecosystem.
I've been very tech savvy since the good ole 90s when learning things yourself was the only way one could learn anything, especially Satoshi's white paper in the 50 BTC reward epoch when I first got into Bitcoin in 2012.
But overtime, I've come to appreciate more the old-fashioned way of doing things back when humanity was somewhat relatively sane in the pre-social media days. As a retired tech asshole, I have a love/hate relationship with technology. It's a long story.

It's funny bro, a few of my best friends back in the 90s and their family moved to AZ. They like it so much there that they have 0 interest coming back to the East coast. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were amongst them. But sadly, they doesn't have the IQ like you.
My mother was training to become a Psychologist back in the mid 90s, so I was her guinea pig during that time. My best friend in question who's family moved to AZ from FL didn't fare too well with my mother's IQ test... Let's put it this way, it was kinda revealing how my IQ was over 50 points higher than my best friend.

Haha well, my good buddies, the few that are ACTUALLY worth my time since they are almost as well off as me, keyword almost; just like you, we all planned for this trip together this week. We all planned for all of us to get together here and now and do what we do best. It was like we never parted from each other.
We haven't seen each other since my buddy got wiped tf out from some brutal waves at the beach while trying to climb a rocky platform, which forced him to get stitched at the hospital when the adrenaline was telling him otherwise.
It was back in December when I posted the image of the ambulance, the funny thing is that there was still drama this week, but nowhere as bad as December when we needed to call an ambulance. But that is how it is with my friend group.
It does suck to be one of the few who can exercise caution and try to exercise caution. These fuckers would absolutely fucking go overboard if I'm not around. I feel like I'm one of the only ones that look at things with reason and not think with one's dick.

I'll be real with y'all, I'm very guilty of being somewhat jaded from personal IRL experience. Let's put it this way, without getting into specific details, I've personally seen some shit that most people would never experience. Especially considering the fact that I used to roll with a large crew where most of my buddies were a decade older than me.
Back in my college days 20 years ago, I happened to see things which eventually led me to, unfortunately, not being able to relate with most people, which eventually led me into the rabbit hole of discovering Bitcoin long before the vast majority of all of y'all.
S₿, is currently on the road Boss Hoggin it; too preoccupied with trying to enjoy life traveling and linking up with some buddies of mine who are successful in their own respective ways while possibly getting a 2nd Porsche that better suits my soul.
For those of you who are relatively new to Bitcoin, keep stacking like your life depends on it. Dead serious. If you apply the same mindset as I did 12 years ago, you will definitely be in the same situation as yours truly.

A leveraged buyout from a private equity firm was likely what happened. Typical MO of a bloodsucking PE firm. They acquire a business on the basis they take a massive loan as part of the buyout, continue to further bleed the business dry by cutting both expenditures and employees, meanwhile, the quality of everything goes down while the debt continues to accumulate to the point the business is unable to service the debt and goes bankrupt. The PE firm makes a killing out of the deal though with no accountability for their actions.
The same playbook was done to Sears, Toys R Us, the majority of restaurant chains, hell they even pillage small businesses and healthcare now. People gravely underestimate how much of a scam the entire finance industry really is...especially private equity. They are the epitome of everything I despise about the fiat world. A high-time preference mentality always prioritizing short-term profits over the long-term sustainability of the business and employee welfare.
As far as Recaro goes, it would be great if VW, BMW, or MB were to acquire them and help keep them afloat. Too bad the car modification scene is dead compared to what it used to be like in the past. The disappearance of new sports cars or just driver-oriented vehicles in general hasn't helped matters at all either.

I think I finally have the issue with my Linux computer fixed. It really feels good to finally have my complete CPU setup up and running again; especially considering how it frustrated me how I couldn't come up with a solution to the problem. It got to the point where I said screw this, decided to unplug it, and completely ignored it for a while just to clear my mind of all of it. It was better to focus my attention on other things and revisit it at another time when I'm in a more zen-like state.
Now I have a bunch of months old tabs and tweets to eventually sift through. I don't know if it's even worthwhile to post them or not. Either way, I very much prefer to browse/use nostr on a large screen with a keyboard & mouse. Mobile apps just don't really do it for me. Unless I'm multi-tasking or out and about, traveling, and have the rare opportunity to kill time.
