@npub1g0t…tvm4 I've wondered for a while if any party gives a damn about NOT Working People, other than about how to get them to work. Some people just cannot work for many reasons. I don't think they should be left to die. Sorry to be so... Liberal about compassion.

@npub1g0t…tvm4 I found that the managers most likely to tell you they valued diversity in the workforce were the least likely to tolerate diversity of opinion, leaving me to believe that the rest of what they said was BS too. Reasonable people don't feel the need to broadcast their reasonableness. I'm very suspicious of anyone who says, "to be honest..." too.

@npub1g0t…tvm4 I don't think so. The timing of Suella's outburst about cancelling Christmas to persecute immigrants, to scare Tory moderates then this resignation because they didn't force lower human rights on Rwanda smells like another Far Right plot.

@npub1g0t…tvm4 @npub1kt3…5004 I've always enjoyed that Newton got colour theory wrong (RYB as primary paints, a mistake we perpetuate) but I've recently been learning music theory using Newton's colours and they actually work better that 'the truth'. Models only have to be useful, not right.

@npub1g0t…tvm4 @npub1kt3…5004 New thought: I wonder if people who get SAD are more likely to see 'absolute' colour. They see grey where I just see "dark white". I often can't see a colour cast in photos because my brain makes it the 'right' colour.

@npub1g0t…tvm4 @npub1kt3…5004 I remember being told that white wasn't a colour but that's not true. My take: 'colour' is something the human eye and brain creates from and mix of light frequencies. White is a mixture where we can't detect an 'imbalance' towards red, green or blue that isn't dark enough to be grey, but some of us detect change 'relative' to 'normal', so white is a social construct :-).
'The Dress' (and ADHD) made me explore colour theory.

@npub1xnz…z0gw @npub1vs8…j2mk @npub1g0t…tvm4 It's largely about the recent legal case that said historic gender inequality must be corrected, so nothing to do with the current councillors. Brum voted that they didn't want a Metropolitan Mayor too. They got one when funding was made conditional on Labour accepting it. They should have folded then. Centralised control has been the aim for some time. The reporting is a disgrace.

@npub1wfl…vv20 @npub1g0t…tvm4 @npub1hu8…39su They've used this trick before, when they said the deficit was reducing and hoped we'd be cooked into thinking they meant debt. We were getting more into debt but slower. We must all call them on it every time, so that lying "hurts them more than it hurts us".

@npub1g0t…tvm4 I agree with you but I also discovered when working for a German company that our natural ability to improvise and 'think out loud' in public is uncomfortable for most Germans. We find it easier to be #Agile and distribute responsibility. They admire this but it worries them because we seem "loose cannons". We are OK with being wrong then adjusting.
