For my client the "in reply to" section is going to go below the reply in the note view. Always found it weird that you had to scroll up on Twitter / etc. Also given nostr's very async nature, having it below works better anyways.

Got enough done on the DB part to see the performance gains in the client. Now it is only requesting new events since the last one on the timeline. So only getting 1 event back, an old metadata event of mine. Think that's probably a bug in the relay.

I could also see a client that creates reposts from your Twitter followers. In theory you could interact with Twitter fully without leaving the comfort of nostr.

Has anyone thought about, or built, a relay that will cross-post to Twitter and/or Mastodon? Given how nostr is essentially a low-level event protocol this seems like a natural thing it could do.

Basics of the database being done, things are going to start rounding out faster now, I hope at least. It also means the client will load significantly faster as the timeline won't have to go back to the beginning of time any more.
Next steps will be getting the event view and threaded views working. Then notifications. Then it will feel closer to a real client.
