All good points, but I think the lack of qualified talent being trained in schools is the most critical part. Ukraine punches above its weight by adapting technology to make up for their lack of resources. I don't think US has the human capital of caliber to do the same. Competent DoD contractors were effectively purged once the clot shot mandates came down back in 2021. Anyone who could get out/retire did.
