Yes, I get it, one factor auth is insecure.
But the solutions coming out of Google and Apple like passkey are putting a tax on people without a trust-able smartphone, or the skills and knowledge to use other passkeys.
I think it's fine for a workplace to use passkeys as long as they provide your computer and second-factor.
I don't think it's fine for services facing the general public.

So before you start on with "why do rich kids get their breakfast paid for too? How come it's not means tested…" about Pennsylvania's new school lunch program.
Here's a thing.
There are plenty of rich and middle class parents who withhold food from their kids as punishment, religious nonsense, or to coerce behaviors. News flash: family can be downright evil.
Also means testing is just a fancy way to exclude the poor.
Every kid, every person, has a right to three squares a day.
If you're so upset, push to raise taxes on those rich parents.

When making donations to groups in Hawaii (it's not just Maui, this affects all the islands)
1. Never give money to the Salvation Army. They torture and abuse queer people.
2. Look for mutual aid projects.
3. If you donate to charity, remember to run the receipt through your work's donation matching program if you have one.
