I think there's something really neat with the whole "Mastodon-compatible API" thing:
Thinking of making my own blog with 'quick posts' - I could give the server a 'mastodon-compatible API' so i can use Mastodon clients to post posts. Pretty neat!

@npub12eh…vgsn The attractive part of this option is i know how to build this trivially myself. What I don't like is needing to `git commit` to write/edit a post. Theoretically I want to be able to write without checking out the repo.

For a while I've been wanted to start my own blog and write some stuff, but my biggest struggle is: do I write my posts in markdown comitted into git, or in a (self-hosted) CMS?
