That is my understanding of quantum mechanics yes. (My understanding being that it is some kind of magic where things pop in and out of quantum fields, and I don't know what any of that even means)

Kind of reminds me of small doors I've seen in the exterior of bank branches here in Australia. I've never seen one in use, and I'm not sure if they would still be in use, but I always assumed they were for securely passing cash into or out of the secure area of the bank without allowing a person to pass through.
