Maybe it's because I knew how Torna would be destroyed from playing the base game, or maybe it's because Dana was so motivated to help people in her time that it made me more attached to the place. When I lived in Eurofagistan I had to deal with them all the time. They would refuse to deliver packages unless you were home and they could physically hand it to you, even if it didn't require a signature. I think cars negate the need to walk or bike to run errands. I understand they need maintenance and fuel to run, but there's no reason these things shouldn't be easy to access. The only reason gas is expensive is because of the government, and the only reason cars are hard to repair is cause companies want to control what you own. Since we're talking about an ideal world here, neither of those things would be true. Gas would be as cheap as it should be and cars would be designed to last long and be repaired easily.
Besides, walking or biking through nature just for the sake of it is much more pleasant than hauling stuff back and forth.

Her lips smack together as she takes out her phone and starts thumbing away at it with her free hand. You decide to wait a moment. Anxiously tapping the tips of your fingers together as your eyes dart back and forth.

Suddenly, the woman looks your way. You lock eyes with her once more.

Those words shake you to your very core. You clench your fist, smudging the number on your ticket. You wouldn’t need it anyways. You don’t have the energy to argue right now. You could go in another line, but you’ve been here for hours.
You shuffle away, noticing a pile of chewed gum on the floor next to the counter as you head towards the exit.
At the door, you pass a sign that says “Next time, skip the line! Book your appointment through the app!” with a QR code underneath it. The sign is worn and scratched to hell, but the code should still work. For a second you think of maybe taking the signs advice next time.

Also there are no niggers in Xenoblade. There are dark skinned humans, but they would be genetically distinct from the Bantus we deal with in the real world.
In Xenoblade 1, all life is based on either Klaus, and Aryan man, or Galea, a white woman. The genetic code for Bantus just wouldn't exist even in characters like Otharon.

First of all, to suggest that society isn't decaying as we speak is ridiculous. Everywhere you look these days things are getting worse and worse. People are finding it harder and harder to live, and even those of us who are living quite comfortably have to deal with things not working the way they should. Service is getting worse, businesses are dying, things are getting more and more expensive. You might have your own theories as to why all of this is, but what's not up for debate is the fact that things have been trending downwards for at least the last decade.
Second, my beliefs come from personal experiences, not news or other media. I used to have no problem with gays, until I met my wife's family and friends. All of whom are gay, trans, or some other fucked up kind of sexuality. Thankfully, I rescued her from that environment. But the level of toxicity, dysfunction, and overall misery exhibited by those people changed my views on the LGBT forever. I saw every single problem that lifestyle can bring firsthand. None of it was fed to me though a TV screen or news website.
Is it possible to be gay and not live that way? I believe so. However, I have seen countless more examples of "bad" gays than good ones. So I feel more than justified in saying that being gay is bad, and not something we should encourage or even really tolerate in our society. At most we should pity them the same way we do drug addicts or the morbidly obese. But the straight up worship of faggotry we see these days is abhorrent and needs to stop in order for things to get better.

I don't think environmental storytelling is the same as having an actual story. Or at least, I haven't seen it used in that way before. You mentioned the Souls series, which is a good example of what I mean when I say this. A lot of people these days tend to confuse lore with story. A game having "deep" lore is not the same as it having a well crafted and engaging narrative. While I haven't finished Demon's Souls, I know that Dark Souls is a game that people constantly praise for having "deep lore". And while that's all well and good, it's not quite what I'm looking for. Because the actual story you end up playing through in Dark Souls is incredibly straightforward. It's nearly identical to every other fantasy, hero saves the world type story. The only difference being the twist near the end where you find out that your quest to "save the world" might not save it after all. Which is interesting, don't get me wrong. And for a game like Dark Souls, which is more focused on exploration and combat. it works well. But what I'm looking for are games where the narrative takes center stage, and follows the events that you actually play though, rather than snippets of information about things that happened before the game actually started.
On the point of a lack of talent, I think that's true. I don't recall where I heard this, but I've read that a lot of game studios don't prioritize story at all. To the point where they won't even have a dedicated writing team. They'll just leave the story and concept up to the director or artist or whoever they already have in the studio that can write something. Even if it sucks. And if you look at a lot of prominent storytellers in games nowadays, particularly Japanese ones, you'll find that a lot of them got their start working on art or programming, and then eventually had enough good ideas that they were allowed to make their own projects. Both Tetsuya Takahashi and Tetsuya Nomura are examples of this practice. Perhaps studios should invest more in having dedicated writers or writing teams, so that games can have stories that go beyond a 5 sentence synopsis.

If you can tolerate old, janky animation then start with the very first one: Gundam 0079. That show and it's various sequels/prequels are what's known as the Universal Century or UC timeline. That's the "main" Gundam timeline that everything else is spun off from.
If you want something a little more modern, then there are various Gundam spinoffs that take place in alternate universes, so to speak. They have no relation to the "main" Gundam timeline or to each other. So you can pretty much pick up whichever one looks the most interesting to you and watch that. Personally I'd recommend Gundam 00, Gundam Wing, Gundam X, and G Gundam.
Also, the newest season you're referring to is another one of those AU stories. So it being pozzed has no bearing on any Gundam series other than itself.
