A wonderful record that I missed the first time around, that I’ve become quite enamoured with in the last few weeks.
Kiah’s voice is a powerful and emotive alto; kind of a more meaty Tracy Chapman, and these bluesy, soulful songs hit and hit hard.
The album is also produced extremely well, and mastered by the great Bob Ludwig.
If you haven’t heard it… do.

We cannot find any record or listing for this album ANYWHERE.

I’m off on a ten day excursion to the desert with my family. Before I head out, I wanted to share this thought with you all, simply because it’s on my mind.
Move on and stop using substitutes for your own grief. While it may be hard to grieve because the emotions it brings are too strong, it is how we heal.
We have to deal with the heartache and trauma head on. Otherwise it builds up inside us and makes us lonely, bitter and nihilistic.

The lone original ‘93 press of this amazing album was:
1. Pressed in Greece
2. Hard to find and VERY expensive
3. Sounded like shit.
This sounds amazing, & finally does this flawless #90s album aural justice.
One of my 10 favorite albums ever, & another grail off the list.

Another example of perfect timing!
I was in the record store this morning & the owner said “Theres a milk crate on the floor that you might wanna go through. That stuff just came in about an hour ago.”
This record by Scotland’s Close Lobsters is an excellent jangle-pop record. Shimmering guitars, great melodies, expertly written songs of the genre.
Glad to add it to the library.
A gem.

Last spin tonight.
One of those bands for me that set an impossible standard out of the gate, & failed to achieve those heights again.
This is the only Killers album I love, & damn, man, it is near flawless.
“Somebody Told Me” was on, & my 14 yr old hollered from his room “What was THAT song? That was awesome!”
“The Killers, son. Same band that does Mr. Brightside.”
I suppose this will be vanishing from my library soon.
Damn kid.😂
