The fact that open source exists makes the extent of the burnout dumbfounding
What I mean is, you can read open source as "you can't stop developers from writing code"--we have some of the most prized skills in the world, and we'll give it away because we love computers.
How does the collective business world take that and fuck it up so bad that we never want to look at another computer again?

Reading up on Lynn Conway, this woman is unbelievable.
Specifically, she (in order):
1. Worked at IBM and invented superscaler CPU architecture (ie, the thing that intel lives by for modern performance)
2. Transitioned and started over in 1968, when it was stealth or death
3. Joined Xerox PARC, where she invented VLSI and modern silicon design
Modern chips exist because of her.

Ok, time for #GetFediHired!
I've got like twenty years experience with Python and Linux, a long time open source contributor, I know too much about Docker and Containers, not enough about Kuberenetes. I've done a bunch of ops and ops-adjacent stuff.
I just finished setting up the infrastructure and CI/CD for a geographically-diverse seed-stage startup.
Only accepting remote positions comfortable with vaguely Eastern time.
