Among the bundle of crochet hooks I bought today were these two bodkin type needles. Intended for sewing without splitting the thread of the fabric, I assume. But why the two eyes in each? Just for different thicknesses of thread, or for using two threads at once?

Yes, pricey, and also I think the flavours are more elaborate than she wants.

Does anyone know of a UK supermarket that sells little individual ice cream tubs? The sort you used to be able to get in packs of 10. Mum in Law used to like having them, but we can't find them anywhere now. I know it's excess packaging, but it was so convenient for her. A big tub is hard to scoop out of, and ends up getting harder and harder.

I was thinking about this. An ongoing problem will be that so many areas have become dependent on tourism. If we reduce the number of people going on holiday, then alternative sources of income have to be found. Or perhaps holidays just have to cost more, so that the people of Rhodes etc can make as good a living from one person as they used to from 3 or 4.
