In one of the ML threads discussing supply-chain attacks in the wake of the #xz backdoor, I see someone (a GNU maintainer) is using seamonkey 1.1.17 released in 2009. They are not the only one. No further comment required.

@npub1ysu…2jyl This might be something to touch on more later in post-crisis reflections, but the number of checks which it turned out have always been broken during the Modern C porting was crazy.
(... and it's related to the xz thing 'cause of the sandbox cmake thing.)
