Whoa, had Labor Party person knocking on our door today asking if we've already voted today. Super surprised this is legal in the UK. In my homecountry (Slovenia) this is a big no no, you are not even allowed to post anything on social media or do anything that could influence someone on the day of elections.

Another very common wild plant (weed) I see on my daily walks is a 'Narrow leaf plantain'. There is also a 'wide leaf' one. We used to put it on our wounded knees after a fall as kids and it helped remove the blood and cool the wound. It is called 'ozkolistni (narrow) or širokolistni (wide) trpotec' in my language. My grandma taught me about it when I was a kid.
Now I finally also know its english name. Narrowleaf or Wideleaf/Broad leaf Plantain #TheThingsISeeAroundMe

Every day I am exploring nature here in England but I barely know any names for all the lovely plants I see on my daily walks/hikes.
I decided to start learning new words and I will try to post them here.
First one is what we in Slovenia call - zlatica. Here, in English, it is called a buttercup.

It feels similar to the language policing where intention is good but it leads to people limiting each other, being afraid about how to express and in a way being silenced.
And with this blockchain shit, people are actually part of trusfull communitites, hating on trustlessness of blockchains whicle secretly working in blockchain projects.
What the heck is this? This is worse than trustlessness...

I am perplexed. In loads of leftists circles I am part of, there is this strong anti-blockchain sentiment. And this is such a strong shared value that is starting to create a super weird anomally.
When I talk privately to some of the developers or even non-developers from these communities, I am learning that they are actually working on some blockchain project. Contracting, helping friends, applying for grants to some blockchain projects but in the public groups hiding this from each other.
