The issue was just explained to you and excruciating detail and your take away was that it’s folding under pressure? Either you didn’t actually pay attention to the explanation, didn’t understand it, or you’re just so entrenched in your ableism about this man’s disability that you’re incapable of even trying to do better. he has a speech disability, and word substitution has been a part of it for as long as he has been in public life. Like I said, there was a blog documenting every incident of during the 2008 campaign.

yes, because part of the speech disability he has had his entire life, which is well documented, is that he substitutes names in context. He was talking about both Putin and Zelenskyy, so he said Putin at a point when he meant Zelenskyy. Tonight at the press conference he did the same with Russia and China and Trump and Harris. It’s something he’s always done. There was a whole blog about it during the 2008 campaign.

In my lifetime, I have watched as we have devolved from a man being disqualified from seeking the presidency because he didn’t know how to spell potato to a pathologically dishonest, election tampering rapist being treated as a serious candidate, rather than a serious threat. The growth of power of the reactionary, white supremacist right wing is terrifying.

I really want to divest from Google. Does anyone know of a good guide for switching away from Gmail successfully? I have multiple options but the idea of losing/missing mail is daunting.
Edited to clarify: I will be using my own email attached to my webhosting account. The goal is to be immune from the whims of any email service so Fastmail and Proton etc. aren’t what I need. Just someone else’s experience based step by step on how to best transition away from Gmail hegemony.
