@npub19tt…rqz5 The gray area (unsafe Rust) is only a part of what C/C++ allows because unsafe doesn't turn off all the guarantees of the compiler. The borrow checker for example will still check your unsafe code.

Rust allows you to handle such an OS error when using `thread::Builder::new().spawn(…)`

#RustLang performance tip 🚀
Rewinding, truncating and then writing to an open file is always faster than opening the file every time.
For small files, it can be about 3x faster.
If you write a file multiple times, keep it open and reuse it, but don't forget to rewind and truncate.
Shouldn't be specific to Rust.

Today I learned: It only takes about 35µs to spawn a thread in #RustLang (on my machine) 🚀
Might help you to decide whether you should run something in parallel or not ⚙️
Of course, this is not the whole overhead. You might need some kind of synchronization etc.

These should be specific to one user. There is no need to install them on the whole system.
