@npub1f9l…0tl2 it *is* better in every way. sorry, but you're just not being serious about this. There are plenty of ways to develop portable apps (see: just having a fucking web app) that don't require electron. I don't think you're a very serious person so I'm not going to keep engaging.

@npub1f9l…0tl2 correct. it being open source and portable would make it significantly better in every way.
it’s also not just the web app issue, it’s that it’s _not_ a web app, explicitly and architecturally so, yet depends on a very large and unwieldy web browser platform nonetheless. This would be more acceptable if it came with online access (like discord), but it doesn’t. Electron is a rather bewildering choice, and no, it would not require it being a totally new app to fix.

#obsidian would be perfect with 3 mods: #emacs keybindings, #foss license, and no #electron.
