I love #retroGaming but let's face it compared to modern #videoGames they can be kinda hard to play. When we were young and had just spent our birthday money, we found ways to play them that made them enjoyable. Whether with cheat codes, or special techniques, we learned them like an instrument.
I'd like to make a #YouTube series where a gamer who is IN LOVE with a #game shows me how to play it, demonstrates the tricks and secrets, and tells me the stories about the time they spent with it.

I think it should be clear to everyone by now that nobody is choosing #ReactJS for performance reasons. People are choosing #React for another reason; it makes it easier for large teams to manage complex state without thrashing the DOM.
You can shout about how much faster my sites would be without React all day, but if not using it means I have to go back to Backbone and the mess of imperative DOM manipulation that caused I'll just become a farmer instead.

I started moving the fetching logic to a queue, and I've got it wired up, but the next step is to make the queue handler save the user's achievements to the DB as well.
This is where #DynamoDB trips me up. There are Achievements, there are Users, and then there are Achievements that a User has earned; a many-to-many relationship. I'd feel pretty confident in how to design an SQL schema, but not #NoSQL

They still sell these arcade sticks, but they are expensive and they are only really good for arcade fighters and platformers.
There's a ton of old arcade games that used funky controls like steering wheels, trackballs, handlebars, etc.

I wish that computers would ask you what you want to accomplish before they do anything.
Instead they always just start right up with a grid of icons to tell you literally everything they can do.
Every computer should boot up to the question "what do you want?"; and subsequently ask you if you have accomplished it yet at regular intervals.
