I agree that it's disappointing and if you look at their job listings, https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/careers/listings/, you will see a lot of "AI" positions. I wish AI would just stop already.
Also Mozilla's Firefox makes so many unwanted queries to Mozilla.com domains without their users knowing, which I saw when running mitmproxy with it, that I'll only use it for pentesting & not a daily driver.
