Nostr is rebuilding the internet to be decentralised again! 💪 Amazing that I keep seeing people not only come up with cool and novel ideas but are either already working on or suggesting versions of exisiting sites/apps/services that can be rebuilt on nostr! Bitcoin and Lighting ⚡️ can move the value and nostr can move the text 😎

I’m sure that can be done, the follower list is there just need some UI around doing so without manually doing it. The main issue is people following the new account, if the old one is compromised then you can’t rely on a post from that to migrate people over…

yep, mastodon it’s more mature but it’s fundamentally different and the reason nostr exists is because enough people believe that the “fediverse” model doesn’t work

Seeing some inconsistent connections to relays between clients, Damus iOS app for example won’t connect to certain relays that nostr.rocks will connect too from the same network 🤷‍♂️

User accounts being linked to specific servers for a start, while there is some functionality to move them it's far from ideal. From there the approach just seems backwards and I imagine the more it gets adopted the more glaring those issues will become.

The smart move for Elon would be to contribute resources to help develop Nostr, once it’s ready then switch twitter over to be the world biggest relay. A paid tier can still exist for additional features.
