My favourite tale type has been ATU 530 (the princess on the glass mountain) since I was very young. I had a photocopied version from a book in the early 70s, in which the hero uses eagle’s claws to climb the mountain and rescue the princess.

I went looking for fosstodon.org's English-only policy, and it may be summed up as follows: "We have a language comprehension problem; solve it for us by buggering off. Ktnxbye!" It's a remarkable attitude on a geographically Eurocentric network.
Apparently fosstodon.org is run by a bunch of exclusionary, linguistic-chauvinistic, colonial hill-billies.
