Lots of news reports about the online safety bill today, with attention on the part of children requiring age verification to use social media apps.
The reporting is somewhat misleading - for this to work everyone will be required to submit to age verification.
So why aren’t the headlines “ID docs required for social media apps”?

Sometimes I wonder whether recruiters actually read back their emails…
Today I got a cold email from someone suggesting candidates for open roles we have.
They’ve decided to go with “Cheeky Nandos” as the subject line. 🤨
And then go on to show candidate profiles under two headings.
“Medium. Hits the right spot without scolding your tonsils”
and
“Hot. Highly combustible, proceed with caution”

What a load of crap and a total disservice to the candidates they’re representing.

Once you reach Staff+ level, or EM if you’re on the manager path you have to figure out a way to overcome your limitations - especially if they’re a limiting factor to doing your job well.

@npub1typ…c8hh Is it possible that there’s a generational thing here as well.
I entered the workforce in 2006 and would consider myself part of the millennial digital native generation. The idea of printing out reports is very alien.
