So you're out #sailing in a new area and your electrics fail. No bother, just go back to using a paper chart for navigation (if you ever stopped: I didn't).
The only problem is that the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office is withdrawing its portfolio of Admiralty Standard Nautical Charts and Thematic Charts.
Thank Bob we still have Imray ... for now.
I'm also wondering what small or traditional boat sailors without electronics are meant to do.

@npub1vh9…8qsf @npub1g0t…tvm4 with some extra conditions though. UK median wage is now about £38,000. My wife and I live very comfortably spending significantly less than that because of circumstances.
So I think we need some extra conditions to ensure true "medianness". Perhaps:
- that they must either rent or buy, without deposit, a property to live in.
- if they own a car that it be old so needing repair/replacement
- they must have full financial responsibility for two children of school age

@npub13ru…67kn yup, this is pay via your phone. You go into the app, call up the loyalty card first, which displays a bar code which you scan, then select the credit card and pay via NFC. Works a treat. I've stopped carrying my wallet now, I do everything via my phone.

@npub13ru…67kn I've got all my loyalty cards (Tesco, Sainsburys, CoOp, Go Outdoors etc) in my Google wallet. No need to use the store app.
ETA sainsburys app sucks too.
