Although this requirement for a dynamic energy contract can also be interpreted differently: energy supplier Eneco offers control of home batteries for customers with a fixed/variable energy contract, indicating that Eneco's dynamic control is sufficient for the Tax Office. Seems logical to me.

Interestingly, for the VAT refund on a home battery, the Dutch tax authorities actually make it a condition that an energy management system and dynamic energy contract is used.

Good news for the Swedish market, where many smart battery vendors have emerged, is that the tax authorities have reversed a decision made earlier this year that home batteries were only eligible for a 50% tax deduction if they were used exclusively for self-consumption. Use in interaction with the energy system (with dynamic pricing and grid support services) is now possible again.

Starting today, Dutch companies with more than 100 employees need to report on how their employees travel to and from work.
This includes, for example, the number of kilometres travelled by car, broken down by fuel type. Initially, the data will be used to meet sector-wide sustainability targets. This does not yet mean that companies are obliged to make their mobility more sustainable. But the findings from these reports give a good numerical basis to do so.

Throughout Europe, tax incentives/subsidies are mainly aimed at individual (company) cars to help with the higher purchase price of EVs and are typically not available to car sharing operators.
Access to affordable public or closed-user group charging is also important.

The Danish Road Directorate is launching a new €13 million round of funding for electric car sharing. That's very welcome, as electric shared cars make a lot of sense in decarbonising transport, improving public space and meeting mobility needs in a broad mix with active and public transport.
