I woke up this morning expecting condemnations to be pouring from all corners of the world for #Israel's heinous massacre in #AlMawasi, #Gaza.
Except for a couple humanitarian organizations, there's nothing. It's business as usual. It's like one of the facts of life. Much like we always expect the sun to rise in the morning from the east, we also expect Palestinians to be slaughtered daily.

Another thing I started to notice at least shortly after October 7th, (though I couldn't verify if it's consistent or if it started before) is that the #CBC changed their maps of "Israel". If you compare the older (in white) and newer (in green) maps here, they erased the Syrian Golan Heights (the upper right bulge in the green area).

Mind you, with the exception of South Africa, other countries also allowed this genocide to go on without a shred of accountability. I agree that most of the leverage is with the US. But other countries could also exert meaningful pressure. But they maintain relations with Israel at all levels as if nothing happened. As I was saying earlier in a separate post, a CBC report about the rise of antisemitism (which is real), emphasized the slogans Free Palestine and Long Live Intifada. As if to suggest they're signs of antisemitic sentiment.

It also shows how the dialogue is broken. There's no desire on either side to engage with the other side to inquire about what the slogans they chant mean.
The way I understand this slogan is more akin to a single non-ethnostate solution where all the current inhabitants could coexist freely and peacefully, be equal, and where refugees could return. The two-state solution is not feasible.
It's wiping out the apartheid structure, not the Israelis.
