Everyone loves my brain when I point out that we have a gap in our evacuation procedure but when I point out there’s a gap in our safety measures, everybody gets mad at my brain.
It’s just logic. Why are some humans so emotionally connected to some irrational decisions even as they seem to notice logic and reason in other areas?

Another win this summer has been social
It wasn’t learning that I’m #ActuallyAutistic that did it, either. I started “wanting” & “trying” to interact with that in mind, & got nowhere
Once I learned I’m #GenderQueer I found a path. Very quickly, as far as finding social spaces where I feel at ease. And AND - I say this with hesitancy tinged with shame/fear - I am starting to “make friends” with people, where I “want” to be around them and I feel drawn to them platonically. All 100% new, & fun…

I’ve been resting since school ended. I got sick immediately, bc my immune system was worn out. But I’m feeling better
In a few hours I hit the stage for an important #SpokenWord #poetry event. I’m the opening act in a series of performers spitting about positive mental health
It’s the first time I’ve developed a set that tells a story. I’m hoping to inspire strong emotions & a sense of joy. My approach: try to be present & at ease

As part of my effort to avoid #burnout and focus on self-care, I started listening to "Self Care For Autistic People" by Dr Megan Anna Neff. This is a really good book with concrete advise and a very accessible approach.

@npub1j8m…v5r7 to be fair, those also aren't the values of the Israeli govt, either.
innocents are dying on both sides, caused by leadership corruption on both sides. however, as Israel is the governing power, and as the US is its primary means of support, both financially and rhetorically, thats where much criticism belongs -- the Palestinian and Israeli citizens are both caught in the middle of a fascist, colonialist, military-capitalist nightmare.
