I thought you were smart enough to understand that the people admitted to universities are not chosen based on test scores. Legacy admissions give an advantage over acceptances many times over what affirmative counter balanced.
Show me the test scores of the people admitted and not just of people applying. I’m sure you understand the difference.
And I’m sure you’re also aware the privileged class are specifically advantaged and have foreknowledge and tutoring to score well in entrance tests. Compare the Harvard test scores against double blind general aptitude and intelligence tests and you will see different results.

Your assumption that test scores are the determining factor is incorrect. Affirmative action reduced white applicants with inferior test scores to be admitted over people of colour with superior test scores. Even with affirmative action, it still happened, it just happened less. People of privilege and family history with a university are favoured, and they are overwhelmingly white.

Receiving email is pretty much never impacted. Still useful for identity. I’m not concerned that would become a problem in his scenario.
I’d love to hear about what you like as better options. It’s an area I am interested in. I do believe email needs to either evolve significantly or be replaced.
Btw. I looked into his specific issue, and even months after his change his mx records, his domain remains on a the blocklist of a single company for the IP range he’s in. The Fed isn’t complicated to understand. The federal reserve system was set up to be autonomous and be isolated from day to day political pressures.
There is a governing board that is appointed by the president and approved by the senate. This board together with the 12 regional federal reserve bank presidents conduct monetary policy.
The 12 regional federal reserve banks are private corporations and elect their own boards where some appointments are by that bank branch and some are either approved by or are from the board of governors.
Part of the mandate of the banks is to provide information back to the board of Governors to use for setting monetary policy.
The 12 banks run themselves independently as private business with their main mandate being to provide payment services to banks, supervise and regulate banks, and execute monetary policy.
The 12 banks are self funding and any profit (they make a lot actually) is sent to the US treasury.

I’ve adopted a policy of apologizing right up front for future moments when I might misgender. I don't remember how many weeks the woman in the article was I read that prompted research into non womb viability of a fetus. The short version is the baby survived, the mother didn't. I thought it was fascinating it could happen at all. Guiness Book of Records includes things they have verified. So while it's possible this could have been a non womb fetus beyond 33 weeks, if Guiness didn't verify it, it wouldn't be included in their records book. But this doesn't matter. 33 weeks is well into viability for a baby to survive. I was probably sloppy earlier in what I said about developing to term where I meant to say to viability. Apologies for that.
Our discussion started with me making a joke about being willing to fund womb transplants into men if it meant annoying anti trans people. There is no expectation from me this would actually happen. But if you're going to say "not something anyone should strive for", I'll take exception. If someone wants to do such research, and they get private funding to do it, I see no reason to stop them. Living in a free society means they get to do it.

This wasn't a transplant, per se. It's possible an embryo has its own mechanism for this. I don't recall them mentioning immunosuppressants, but this was also a long time ago in an article in a science journal I can't remember, so I can't speculate if they were used/needed or not. The test was about if the fetus would develop, and they were primarily interested in the first trimester, as that's the most critical period of development. I found the article interesting at the time.

They’ve done tests with primates where they implanted an embryo into a male (against the stomach lining if memory serves) and let it grow through the first trimester. At that point they aborted the fetus and checked for proper development, which was normal to that point. This was done because there have been cases with women where an ectopic pregnancy attaches outside the womb but isn’t detected and the fetus develops all the way to term. All the fetus appears to need is an adequate blood supply on a large enough surface. The fetus is amazing. Crazy stuff.

I remember the time when the same “concerns” existed for gay men in washrooms. We don’t hear about that anymore because society matured and shifted to acceptance of gay men and now understands this wasn’t actually a widespread problem. You can find isolated incidents to this day (like for anything), but this is rare, not common. I don’t see trans women as predators at rates higher than gay men or the general population.
An example of an all gender washroom I consider a good solution doesn’t even have a door on the washing up area. In that area, you have less warning for when when someone will walk in and less sound isolation. Each toilet stall is fully closed, not the less private stall we’re used to traditionally. This individual space is fully private and slow for people to peer at you from above or below. I am personally more comfortable in that arrangement and every single person I know who has experienced this type of washroom also says they are more comfortable in them. I don’t easily accept a comment implying they are less safe without some stats clearly showing otherwise.
One of the other benefits of this type of washroom is it allows for mothers and their sons and fathers with their daughters to be together. You don’t need to send a child in unprotected into a space you consider may have them be vulnerable.
I still believe this is how we should reshape this type of public space going forward. And I’m already seeing movement towards this, because as I’ve mentioned, I’ve experienced them.

I’m sure you understand the difference between “the people” and a person. A person who break laws may have rights removed. They may merely be incarcerated, or they may even lose their life. They clearly aren’t allowed guns in prison. Even before a criminal conviction, a court may actually put a gag order on an individual during due process, although this is rare. It comes down to risk of harm. If the courts determine harm may result, they can remove the rights guaranteed in the constitution from an individual. This is not removing rights of the people as a group.
