That's a good tip. I'm doing this as I had a couple of LTC just sitting there doing no good. Now as I send occasional support to keep Poast nice and toastie I'm slowly eating that up. I had set up a recurring monthly until Graf's CC processor turned into a bag of dicks. Will set up again once the LTC is gone.

I looked at Canik Not an awful gun. I was a hard core hammer fired gun guy. This Walther sold me. I am not exaggerating. The best damn factory trigger.
I was carrying a CZ P-07 until something broke in the fire control mechanism. Sent it back to CZ. Fixed no cost to me. But now I could not trust it.
New EDC hunt was on. Walther won. October of 2013. EDC since.

That's exactly what I did on the two W11 machines I run the CAD and lasers from.
Just unplug the Ethernet or disable the network adapter during user setup.
I'm a Mac and Linux guy. Only have win on two machines. There may be an easier way. But this worked for me.

I'm overindulging on some good whiskey.
I've been sweating bullets when our "big" laser broke. $700 worth of parts later. Still broke.
No idea what I changed this evening but now the machine works. Better than new even.
The stress is flowing out of my fingertips. Tomorrow I will recheck the alignment and get back to work. I have orders to fill.
I've been pooping bricks over this $7000 machine being down and out of warranty.

The older copper stuff is outside my arena at work. As such I don't have a super deep knowledge set for it. I would expect you can prolly get a used business PBX and phones for under 5K. The expense will be running the copper.

Also, you bring up a good point. It used to be copper POTS phone service would usually still work in a power failure etc.
Now that almost everything is digital and everybody is cheap as hell I see phones as not reliable going forward.

Sigh. Fren, I work in the industry. Landline != POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) copper anymore. Landlines can be delivered over any physical media to include copper, fiber, cable networks etc.
Everything is tappable. Warrant or not.
If you have Internet and phone via the same provider/connection chances are it's already digital. Even over copper.
If you are longing for the days of having a copper wired POTS phone line, yea, that's slowly going away.

Fren this is 100% untrue. There are efforts to shut down copper phone networks in favor of fiber optics, but "landlines" still exist and will continue to be delivered as a VOIP service over cable and fiber networks.
