This is another picture set that feels like a trip back in time. They are from November 2023, when I took a photo walk with friends around Alt-Tempelhof.
Some of the leaves were still in bright colors, and shooting them with an expired Portra I had never used before was interesting.
There is even a bunker, or something like this, in one of the pictures here.

Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the night when my cats make a noise. Sometimes, when this happens, I decide to leave the house for a walk.
I think this happened back in the summer of 2023.
One of my cats woke me up too early, and I couldn't go back to sleep. I got one of my cameras and went for an early morning walk around deep Neukölln, close to the Britzer Hafensteg.

These photos feel like a lifetime ago, taken in Spandau at the end of summer 2023. A few friends and I went to a wine festival, and I arrived early to use my new Mamiya 55mm f/4.5 Sekor lens.
Unfortunately, I arrived too late, and the sun was already setting, affecting the shots.

These were taken with a weird little film called Kono! Monsoon I bought it because I like testing different things.
But it wasn't worth the price, and its promise of unique tones for refreshing images didn't come to fruition, so I don't think I will ever spend my money on it again.

Whenever I travel, I carry a camera with some color film and another in black and white. Sometimes, the color film has pictures that catch my attention first, and I leave the monochrome images for later.
This was the case here, but I enjoyed these ones, especially the images of the Venice canals, which appear more peaceful.

The Bierpinsel is a notable brutalist building in #Berlin. It used to have restaurants, bars, and a nightclub, making it a popular nightlife spot. Unfortunately, it has been empty since 2006.
This week, I developed a roll of film from November, and some of my favorite pictures were these grainy, gray concrete images of a weird building in Steglitz.

I took my Mamiya C330 to the brutalist ICC in #Berlin Westend. And I ended up taking way too many pictures of the round lights that they have around the area, as you can see in the photos here.

I was going through my Lightroom folders when I discovered a set of black-and-white pictures from earlier this year when I spent a week in Venice.
I had forgotten that I had taken some monochrome pictures in town, and I have to say that it was a mistake. So, I edited a few images focused on the canals. Now, I want to edit the other ones I have from that trip in black and white.

Christmas arrived early at my house this year since I just got one of my dream cameras: a Mamiya RZ67. This beast is as fantastic as I thought it would be, and I couldn't be happier exploring all it could do.

This double exposure has two parts: the buildings, subway, and park are mine, while the other images—possibly of a church or medieval gathering—are unknown.
I have no idea who took them or where they came from.
But here we are, and this is part of the unexpected magic of buying old and expired films from random people online.

These pictures are from late summer 2023, as seen in one of the posters. I remember this day quite well since I walked around the neighborhood with a weird expired film that I had never used before, a Spector Color 200.
I go on walks whenever we want to test something like that. Sometimes, I go towards the Landwehr Canal; other times, I go towards Kottbusser Tor.

Early this year, I went on a photo walk around Treptower Park when the sun started shining a little more. My goal was to test a hand-rolled Kodak Ektachrome that I bought on a trip to Eindhoven a few months before.

There is a corner somewhere in Kreuzberg with an unusual-looking statue. The monument is apparently called "Double Admiral" and stands not far from the Admiralbrücke on the canal. Both are probably named because of the adjacent Admiralstraße.
I took this picture while on a walk early in January 2024, when I was testing a wide lens that I had bought myself for Christmas.

I took my cameras to Venice for my first visit to this glorious city earlier in the year. As always, I took way too many different films, one of which was my first #phoenixfilm. As you can see in these pictures from the fantastic St. Mark's Basilica, I'm not sure if I enjoyed the results, but it feels like I did something wrong.
Still, St. Mark's Basilica is one of the most famous and recognizable landmarks.

I took these during a lunch walk around King's Cross in London in June 2024. My flight back home was at the end of the day, so I needed to use this film before I left for the airport. I just walked around, trying to see a part of the city that feels familiar to me with different eyes... or something like that.
There is even a pretty rare analog self-portrait picture in this set.

When researching the route to Copenhagen, one place caught my attention: the island of Møn.
So, in the morning, I cycled from Stege and visited some burial mounds from 5,000 years ago. It was surreal to see them in the landscape and to be able to crawl inside some of them.
I went to the other side of the island in the afternoon to visit the stunning Møns Klint. This cliffside is one of the highest points in Denmark.

My fourth day of cycling from Berlin to Copenhagen was the most exciting. I left Rostock with a ferry and arrived in Gedser for the second stage of my bike ride.
I was cycling in a new country this time, and I couldn't be more excited. I had to stop in Stubbekobing for another ferry, and everything around me felt surreal. The yellow fields I cycled past will be with me for years.

In October 2022, a friend was in town, and we decided to go for a photo walk around Berlin’s more traditional tourist spots. I chose Kodak Gold as my first color film and believe I made the right choice.

One of my favorite things with a medium format camera is experimenting with a 35mm film and taking pictures with visible sprockets and a different proportion.
As you can see in the picture, I did this a few weeks ago during a walk around Kornerpark in Neukölln.

The #Canon F-1 is big and heavy, a camera made of brass and glass. It’s fully mechanical with no automated features.
To use it properly, you must slow down, think, focus, compose, dial up the proper shutter speed, open or close the lens, and wind the film to the next frame.
