@npub1typ…c8hh Expected useful life for it's intended purpose helps determine quality of product I'm willing to pay. Sometimes I want a single use item other times I want something that will still be in use multiple generations from now.
"Quality" is a 4-letter-word to many manufacturers. They prefer to talk about "planned obsolescence."

@npub1y98…gke7 I remember reading about it in school when it was constructed. It wasn't sold to the people as a cage, but rather a tool to keep to keep the foeigners out. Kind of like the wall between the US and Mexico.
