I use AWS S3, DigitalOcean Spaces, Wasabi sys, and more nearly daily for clients and myself. I could write code to just dynamically use one of those here too. But when it comes to posting on Nostr, I am supporting the "local" #Nostr biz people like @npub1nxy…avr7. I believe there are other places who do this as well, but they are the ones I chose to use. This place won't grow if people don't support the devs developing on it. I know from my own experiences here too.

I kept missing stuff that I would have loved to attend with my son. End up being too distracted, busy, etc. There's a finite time a kid will want to attend specific events. If they miss it that year, they may not want to go the next year as "it's for babies" etc. This was my answer for myself. Decided to turn it on for everyone else to use and help me test too.

You do you man. It can be seen as a bit centralized to some since you are providing such a big funding footprint, but it's better than many who choose to not help at all. I give out Sats with everything I have built for Nostr, yet ask for nothing (nor grants) in return. Is this ideal? No. Will I go broke? Maybe someday. I'm not building clients just Nostr user experiences and providing media content that would pull in others with different interests so it rarely falls under funding radars or criteria here anyway. I just do it because I see a void that needs to be filled. Once I see no one needs it anymore, I'll stop. Seen it plenty of times over the last 30 years online.

Been keeping quiet and working hard on this one. Now filmmakers and musicians get paid Sats for views on Roku, Apple TV, as well as the new PWA site. Direct lightning tips are also available with each video if the artists has a lightning address and wants to receive tips. My biggest battle has been getting them to understand the benefit of BTC and Lightning. People are set in their ways or it just all scares them too much and is too complicated. This is exactly what people felt when they trusted BlockFi, FTX, Celsius, Voyager, and on and on. The hands off someone else is keeping it safe for me approach. In reality, they are spending your coins. On the flip side, worrying about your house burning down, or wear you store your key phrases getting ransacked, or you getting dementia and forgetting your memorized seed words.
