Did you even read what I wrote? I understand you have your opinion on what likes used to be, but I just told you why I use them now. Me telling somebody with a quick button click that something they created made me smile or smirk and I see you, maybe thats worthless to you because you want money for everything you post i guess? But to me and probably a lot of people thats not worthless. I repost and I comment and zap things also, not just likes. Something may be pointless to you, or you only view it in its old outdated form, but it still has value if you can separate it from your hatred of who created it. Comments are difficult for me in general (i’ve always been a lurker, i don’t ever text even or text people back haha) but i still like to do them if something moves me to.
Likes are a more subtle way to participate. You don’t seem like a very shy or reserved person 😂😅 so maybe thats part of why its difficult for you to see other perspectives on the matter 🤷‍♂️

This episode makes me so psyched for the future of this sweet sweet freedom tech 😂🤤
I feel like I just keep bouncing back and forth between @npub12vk…pugg and @npub18m7…q955 as putting out the best client content development for me and what I need. But with Notebook and Notedeck I feel like I can branch towards another area of #nostr that I’m curious about (I have been sticking with free client access because of the ever changing nature of the nostr beast) and will be taking the leap into damus purple, because I love the core principles behind it and Will’s commitment to the cause of decentralization 👏
The main buzz for me is the future Chrome like browser experience, which I feel like would benefit me greatly keeping track of the different nostr projects and clients in one almost superapp and help me further transition my life into this new web experience 100%
And in the episode Will addresses the idea of Work Play and Social….or however it was worded in the episode haha (you’ll have to listen the the pod yourself! There you go @npub1cj8…rz4u 😂) But that concept really does help break down my useage of nostr and #bitcoin’s beautifully easy flow seamlessly throughout the UX. Part of why I love all this so much. Like I like the concept of going to my Damus Notebook for work, coming back over to my Primal for social (great developments in that space also guys, loving the Feeds and Reads expansions) and having BOTH for play/fun whenever or wherever I need both on laptop or my phone. The possibilities are endless i’m just damned excited to be here for all this!!

Only part that was concerning to me was the “transparency, regulation, and supervision of digital assets will be enhanced to safeguard financial stability…” 🫣😬 The people I bet are going to misdirect some of their frustration with that part. What client/clients are you currently using? Some popular ones I see that people use a lot are Amethyst, Damus, Primal, and Nostur, Openvibe/Plebstr. It gets tricky because i’m a mostly mobile user, and an Apple user (save the judgement and superiority please, you don’t know my particular situation and circumstances). I also have an apple laptop that i would like to find some better clients for as well.
I’m already on the Damus game and I love it a lot, just looking for a client with more features thats not named Primal ya know? I have a lot of issues with them.
But trying to continue to try out the newest and most creative stuff

I hope others adopt that as well! Sounds awesome. I’m pretty closed off to the Amethyst world unfortunately, being a mostly mobile Apple user….definitely lacking stuff on our end for some of these cool new things. (Unless theres others i don’t know about yet!)
Nostur is the only one left that I like that continues to add cool stuff. Damus is great but its just optimized for functionality.

Yea my wife has opened up my world to more natural remedies for things. And i think i’ve briefly heard this term before. I glanced over your article and read some of the beginning. And it seems like it has a lot of info i’ve never seen or considered before. Haven’t ever tried grounding before, but i’m open to give it a shot. If this world of ever changing protocols has shown me anything, its to keep an open and curious mind 👍

I like what you said about money just being a ledger for deferred consumption. I recently listened to a pidcast that described it great too, but more abstract in a way than you did, but i think helps to lend some understanding to money and how it works as well. He described it as both a vessel like a cup, and the value that the cup has. The value is actually the space in which YOU CAN FILL the cup. The money is the vessel that you store your value like bitcoin does (especially in the equity sense you talk about!) but also, your money is what you trade your energy and time for and put IN that cup as well, to later be used to pour out at a different time and place for something else you like, and even pour into somebody elses cup. In a way, this new form of money in BTC, because of the tech element, is both the Cup AND the liquid in a way! So interesting to think about…
Also, i 100% agree with your implications. The shifts that can happen from these major foundational changes is basically incomprehensible, because try as we might, nobody can know the damn future haha or how irrational or rational us as a DUNCE human race can be haha. The same podcast i listened to compared the change Bitcoin can have for money that the discovery of the number “0” had for math. Love that kind of stuff! Bitcoin possibilities are INFINITE! 😉
But i like how you toy and play with the concepts and project out your thoughts of the future. The more people do that, the possibilities that will become apparent, i think. So keep on writing! A definite follow from me!

Did Iris get the boot off of Apple? Can no longer access it on my laptop and that was the only way I ever used it. Looks like its been blocked online, and won’t let me open in App Store anymore either.

Can find a lot of interesting stuff that way. Its also a great way to build out your “Web of Trust” with people that are interested and building the same things as you. Maybe just only start following off of those peoples’ follow lists, and build out from there.

This is a great source to get you started if you have questions about parts of the Nostr process. If you are not a fan, DON’T GIVE UP. At least try a different Client first. What client/clients are you currently using? Some popular ones I see that people use a lot are Amethyst, Damus, Primal, and Nostur, Openvibe/Plebstr.
