Middleton Village. They admitted a Covid-positive patient across the hall, spent 20 mins talking to his wife with the door open, 10 mins "masking up" with the door open (half of the nurses were half-maskers). Got them toadmit he had Covid. I took my mom for a ride, as planned, and then we tried the flight of stairs into my house, and I just decided she wasn't going back. They never told the residents to mask, nothing.

My mom has severe arthritis, to the point where she eventually couldn't stand up. Her doctors wouldn't give her meds, and told me to have her admitted to the hospital. We had to call an ambulance, they carried her down the 1 flight in a blanket, ER, ambulance transfer to a partner hospital, 24 hours later, disorientated and tired, she was admitted to a rehab facility. They gave her PT, pain meds, and then exposed her to Covid.

The woodpeckers have drilled their 4th floor into the dead branch in the maple in my yard. The first move-in was 4 years ago, days before I intended to cut the branch down, only to find the now-highest hole. Now, every year, we have a nest, always 6-12" lower than last year. (Pic best expanded)

I was in a sit-down chain restaurant, seated at a table near the bar. The bar had a series of glass shelves holding all the oddball liqueurs on the wall in the center. The bartender put a bottle back on the highest shelf, and it collapsed, taking the shelves below it down. Well, hope he makes some friends there. We had Leo across the hall, who was one of those people that will chat with anyone, all day long, bubbly, and you can't help but like him. He would chat up my mom a few times a day ("She reminds me of my mom") and it really helped her pass the time. Sometimes it can really feel like God's waiting room.

When my mom was in a rehab place the new guy across the hall had Covid and they stood there talking with his wife for 1/2 hour, with *the door open.* They donned PPE *with the door open,* and one had her mask under her nose. I was going to take her out for a drive that day, then decided she was doing well enough to come back home. She's not going to be around much longer (she's 94), but damned if she gets Covid when it could have been prevented.

Meanwhile, my family member needed a repeat C-section for her 3rd child, had planned with her doctor to have her tubes tied at the same time, but she unexpectedly went into labor away from home. The Catholic hospital where she delivered refused to do it. She had to have a 2nd procedure.

Honestly, feel like this might help a lot of the prison reform causes. GOP members can't support a solution to a problem that doesn't affect them. Back during WWII, my grandma, a recent widow with 2 teen girls, found out, when she moved out of her apt., that she had been paying an extra $10/mo b/c she had French doors between the living and dining rooms. Uncharacteristically ( v honest), she took them with her when she left,
("I paid for them!) stored them, and put them in her house 10 yrs later. They stayed there for 50 yrs. When she died, I took them. They don't work in my house, but someday I will find a place for them.

I am just kind of sickened this "debate" vomited itself all over my state, and that (apparently, because I didn't watch it), some of the candidates were denying global boiling. I'm 62, I've lived in the Midwest my entire life, and I cannot recall a hotter day. The dewpoint was *81* earlier today, and the heat index hit 114.
