@npub1238…g63g Apps have become boring with time, 10-12 ago I was madly trying out new apps that looked good and worked well.
That was when I tried games like monument valley, threes. I even liked stardew valley.
I used to be excited about apps that got Apple Design Award because they actually were good. Now, it’s rare to see an app I want to use. There are some apps I like, but most of them I don’t feel like using them.

@npub1238…g63g Steve had first hand experience in designing things, now CEO’s have no idea about UI/UX but they will control everything. Result is a poorly designed product.

@npub1238…g63g The trend that I have noticed is that top management has the final say in the final design of the app.
Another thing I have noticed is app designs are created by developers themselves which are then sent for the approval of management.
Hiring of artists also cannot be done without the approval of top management. Now, at times like these when companies want to make profit they tend to invest in developers to get them to do most of the work, reducing cost and creating boring designs.
