@npub1hpc…hjn3 systemic-level change is notoriously slow and laborious to change. Individuals blame the system when other individuals are harmed but place onus on individual change (eg, “you don’t like it, leave!”, NIMBY zoning). And the system’s largest failures are obscured by outrage and actions against its outcomes (eg, whack-a-mole approaches to racist cops, realtors, neighbors et al vs Critical Race Theory).
Individual, institutional, AND systemic approaches leverage change.

@npub1xtr…2zj8 what if, in doing this, we simply affirm that we have nothing else to offer except their terms and a fight on their ground? Wielding their language rooted in harm and hoping that those few who are won in the manipulation will then use it for a greater good … Sure. What could go wrong? 🙄
