@npub1vs7…a6g3 I suppose you could note that it’s a small social network without advertising, without imposed featuring of posts, and therefore avoids many of the annoyances and bots and post-gamification that exists on other networks. And there’s no central entity to make you pay or your posts won’t be seen.
With federation it means that eventually your posts can be seen on other networks like Threads.

I don't see Apple as getting defensive. They're offering retraining to staff to migrate social media support to phone/text support.
When there's no privacy in DMs on Twitter (and YouTube comments are public) - and Apple doesn't really need a reason to get off Twitter anyway - I think it's reasonable to centralize (and hopefully improve) support in a way that preserves user privacy.

For perhaps a decade I’ve used ReadKit on the Mac, which not only is a nice RSS app (also available on iOS/iPadOS with lifetime unlock price) but it also accesses and locally saves Instapaper and Pocket articles (which can then be printed to PDF for saving offline).
