Despite this, not a single placard or statement or symbol against Farage or Reform or about the August riots specifically. Lots of nice muddle class along for the ride but making none of the running. The Socialist Workers have this one in the bag - the drums play, schoolyard dreams of Smash and Revolution fill the air. Respect for the anti-fash themes, but this is no Popular Front.

OK, it's a seriously predictable left wing demo we've got here.
Socialist worker papers, booths and placards everywhere. Stop the War coalition hijacking the event as usual. Smattering of unions marching. A choice of printed placards - some on topic, some tangential - "smash the far right", "refugees welcome".... "oppose Tommy robinson", "free palestine", "hands off Lebanon".
